Any Title Here Will Piss Off Canadians

Hey, I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. I think the next three weeks are going to be non-stop hectic for me, so if you hear a blackbird singing in the dead of night, it's just me going bananas over here in Cackalacky.

I did catch The Dark Knight this weekend. Aside from it being worth the gazillion rave reviews, there was a certain idea in it that made me feel more awesome than awesome. I had to go and update the FAQ page*... not because anyone's asked me "why did you rip off The Dark Knight?" but because that was such a cool scene and damned if I don't have a blind character waiting in the wings for Chapter 7.

*Don't click if you want minor spoilers that aren't dealbreakers for the plot but I don't want to get stabbed so you've been warned. WARNED WARNED WARNED no stabby-stab-stab please!

Worst. Tattoo. Ever.

There were a few emails and a thread in the forum about the strange markings on his arm from a few strips back, so the third panel is basically just to show off one of the worst tattoos in the world. Way back in the story notebook is a tangent (that'll never get written) about how he and his college buddies made a few bad drunken choices ten years ago. If there's ever a close-up, it'll sport some nice barbed wire accents.

Speaking of college, there was a moment today where I felt very, very old. The ballast on my saltwater tank exploded and I realized that when I smell smoke I no longer automatically think "Hey, there's a party!" but instead "Great. What's going to cost me three hundred bucks this time?" Stupid fish, stupid aging, stupid expensive metal halide lighting fixtures no longer under warranty.

See you maybe Friday?
