So! I've had the opportunity to completely change my workflow by shifting from manual art to digital art and painting. In the past, almost everything I've drawn has been inked manually, and coloring has been done digitally. This is why a lot of the digital inked pieces (e.g.: the ghosts, the cyborgs' avatars) look pretty awful. By shifting from a tablet pad to a monitor/tablet, everything should become more organic.
IN THEORY this will speed up my art, which means fewer missed deadlines and more actual art content.
IN PRACTICE I am a fucking lizard when it comes to learning new technology and I'm about to hurl this lovely new tablet through the stratosphere. And I had to go and shift over at the strip with all of the robot birds, didn't I? DIDN'T I?!?
Anyhow. This week is a short bonus story about what Smithback has been doing in his spare time. I'll be updating this story at least five times this week. Maybe into the weekend, if the story grows beyond the script (it always grows beyond the script).
There's also a second text-game story over at the AGAHF tumblr
that Brown wrote off the cuff. It's freakin' hilarious.
So this week will be a bonus story while I teach myself how to draw again.
...stupid robot birds...
As always, here's other AGAHF content you might not know about! There are new bonus stories in the store!
There are two about Rachel and Shawn,
and one about Speedy and Avery at the zoo.
I'm running the comics from the beginning with author commentary at agirlandherfed.tumblr.com
. The Joshsmut is up and running, too.
And I've put links to all current projects on the About page at the writing blog.
